With a strong background in photography and video content creation, I am excited about the opportunity to bring my visual storytelling skills to the classroom at TASIS. My goal is to inspire students to explore their own creative potential and develop the technical skills needed to tell impactful stories through photography.

Thank you for considering my application for the High School Photography Teacher position.

Headshots

Here are some examples of video projects I’ve worked on in the last couple of years.

Rising Daisies 2023 Update

This first example is filmed for a non-profit I help with in Kenya. I flew over pro-bono and filmed this interview and B-Roll as a part of an upcoming documentary, but this video is just an update for the sponsors.

Ballet Des Moines

This video was primarily filmed by me to be shown at a Gala this past spring to raise awareness of the programs the ballet is doing and raise money from donors at the event.

This is an example of different scenarios of filming, photos, and styles all brought together for a video.

Gwendolyn’s Flight

This is a short character study piece based on a pilot and her story behind why she enjoys flying.

This is an example of a more character driven story in a unique setting.

Esther’s Story

This story I did not film, but I was the main producer on the project. It was also the short that won a Regional Emmy award.

This is an example of a collaboration piece I was able to be a lead on.

Botanical Ballet

This project was created with the ballet to be shown during a virtual show raising money for the Botanical Gardens in Des Moines.

This is an example of moving video using a gimbal stabilizer.

Sonal’s Story

This is a video for a client called CultureALL that promotes cultural learning in Iowa.

This is an example of interview mixed with action filming.

New Day Dairy

This project was for the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers. This is an example some drone work mixed in with multiple interviews.

Friendship Center

The project was for a software company called StoriiCare that creates software for Adult Day Centers.

This is an example of an interview driven video to highlight an organization.

Ballet School Outreach

This project was in an elementary school and was video only to feature Ballet Des Moines and the work they are doing in schools.

This is an example of a video without a narrative.
